Forschungsinteressen

Paläoökologie, Paläoethnobotanik, Zentral- und Nordostasien

Kseniia ist Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin in das FEDD-Projekt (Früchte Eurasiens: Domestizierung und Verbreitung). Sie behandelt archäologische Proben aus Zentralasien, Europe, Kaukasus Gebirge, und führt die Analyse von Makrofossilien durch. 





Vita

Kseniia erhielt 2011 ihr Diplom in Physischer Geographie und Ökologie von der Staatlichen Universität St. Petersburg, Russland, und 2013 den doppelten MSc-Abschluss in Polar- und Meeresforschung von der Universität Hamburg, Deutschland, und der Staatlichen Universität St. Petersburg, Russland. Im Anschluss begann sie das Promotionsprojekt "Das Ende der pleistozänen Tundra-Steppe - Wechselwirkungen zwischen Vegetation, Klima und großen Pflanzenfressern in West-Beringia während des Spätquartärs" an der Senckenberg Forschungsstation für Quartärpaläontologie in Weimar, Deutschland. Im Jahr 2018 hat Kseniia ihre Doktorarbeit mit dem Titel " Palaeo-environments at the Batagay site in inland West Beringia during the late Quaternary " an der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena verteidigt.
