Main Focus

My area of research pertains to the dispersion of Hominins across Western Asia, with a particular emphasis on Iran. This region is believed to have played a pivotal role in facilitating the migration of Hominin populations from Africa to Eastern Asia. Anticipating an examination of how the Paleolithic population adapted to diverse ecological settings in Iran, including the elevated peaks of the Zagros and Alborz mountain ranges, as well as the arid peripheries of the Iranian Plateau. Another area of interest for me pertains to the potential shift from the Middle Paleolithic to the Upper Paleolithic in the Zagros region. The acquisition of this knowledge can only be accomplished by conducting careful investigations of recently discovered sites, which involve acquiring of chronometric dates and the analysis of the lithic material.
