Quantitative Methods - Spring School 2017

We are delighted by the huge amount of interest in the Quantitative Methods Spring School. We are currently finalising the short list and expect to contact the successful applicants soon.

WHERE + WHEN

FOR

The QMSS is for postgraduate and early-career
researchers studying linguistic and cultural evolution and
the sciences of human history.

LEARN

Software pipelines + databases, basic and advanced
statistics, phylogenetic tree inference, comparative
methods, simulation techniques, data visualisation, and
asking good research questions.

DO

Five days of residential training in a range of methods
from expert tutors. You’ll cover theoretical and
conceptual material, do hands-on practical exercises
using R, and get expert feedback on your own research.

Places are competitive by application and limited to 15 students. All your on-site accommodation and economy travel will be covered.
