Main Focus

Molecular Anthropology: Using genetics to infer population history, admixture, migration and natural selection, such as to explore both ancient and present-day population relationships using mitochondrial, Y chromosome and autosomal markers.

Molecular Paleopathology: Using ancient DNA approaches to reconstruct ancient pathogen genomes to answer the questions related to the changing landscape of infectious diseases over time and host-pathogen coevolution.
