FINDER Research Group
Annette is a Postdoctoral Researcher for the FINDER project at the University of Vienna and an affiliate at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Human History. FINDER, which stands for Fossil Fingerprinting and Identification of New Denisovan Remains from Pleistocene Asia, aims to identify hominin remains among fragmented bones from key archaeological sites. Her focus is on ZooMS sampling and analysis of collections from Eurasia and the Indo-Pacific.
Annette received her BA with Honours in archaeology at James Cook University, Cairns in 2014 and completed her PhD at the University of Sydney, Australia in 2019. Her doctorate explored site formation and the effects of taphonomic processes on shell in the Indo-Pacific.
