The Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science (MPG) and its institutes have once again received the certificate berufundfamilie (family and career) for 2012. After 2006 and 2009, the MPG has been confirmed for the third time as a family conscious employer by the berufundfamilie gGmbH, a society of the nonprofit Hertie Foundation.
The new Department of Archaeology at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Human History undertakes both field and laboratory research, and offers the opportunity to conduct and support cutting edge research in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment.
The Department of Archaeology is offering up to five 3-year funded PhD positions. The following fields are eligible: biomolecular archaeology, palaeoproteomics, ZooMS, anthropogenic extinctions, environmental change, archaeobotany, Palaeolithic archaeology, and geoarchaeology.
